Outdoor watercolor sketching in Berlin
5 September 2026 | 11:00–14:00
Join a small outdoor watercolor workshop in one of Berlin’s most beautiful historic locations. Together we’ll paint in front of the magnificent State Library on Unter den Linden while learning how to simplify architecture, capture light, and create expressive watercolor sketches.
Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or already enjoy watercolor, this workshop will help you become more confident painting outdoors and noticing the beauty of the city around you.
What you’ll learn
During the workshop you’ll discover how to:
simplify complex architecture into an easy sketch;
work with perspective without becoming overwhelmed;
mix harmonious watercolor colors;
paint light, shadows and atmosphere;
confidently use watercolor outdoors.
All professional watercolor materials are included. You’ll complete your own painting during the workshop and leave with practical skills you can use on your future sketching adventures.
This workshop is perfect if you:
have always wanted to try watercolor but didn’t know where to start;
love architecture and urban sketching;
want to spend a creative morning outdoors;
already paint and would like to improve your confidence painting on location.
No previous experience is required.
